Manager & Khmer Service

Chum reap suor! (hello) I was born and raised in Cambodia and currently live in Phnom Penh, where I work as a Fixer (a.k.a. field producer or local production coordinator), Line Producer and Interpreter for international and local cinema and television productions: TV commercials (TVCs), documentaries, narrative short and feature films as well as TV shows.

Getting around the so-called “Kingdom of Wonder”, Cambodia, is a piece of cake for me, since I can speak its official language, Khmer, very well and also know the country like the back of my hand: its landscapes, flora, fauna, people and culture.

When it comes to film productions my knowledge extends to both my education and practical experience. I was fortunate enough to attend Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) and Meta House and be mentored by great storytellers such as: Patrice Leconte, Enrique Sánchez Lansch and Arthur Cloquet.

I have been professionally working in the field since late 2015 when I embarked on the American narrative feature film “In The Life of Music” (Innovision Pictures) as 2nd Assistant Director, Interpreter and Screenplay Translator.

Film / Video Production Specialist

Hi there! I moved to Cambodia at the end of 2015, initially to visit the country and work on a movie for a couple months only, but ultimately I ended up getting caught by the charms of this magical land that has everything you can wish for: great weather, beautiful beaches, mystic forests, breathtaking temples, very friendly people and delicious food.

I have been working on audiovisual productions since 2005, when I started as a non-linear editor. Ever since then I’ve worn many hats along the way, from writer to producer, on different projects that range from corporate videos to feature films, being “In The Life of Music” (2018) the movie that brought me to Asia.

In addition to this practical background, my education encompasses an M.F.A. degree in Film Production from Chapman University (2012) as well as a B.A. degree in Broadcast Journalism from La Universidad del Zulia (2006).

Besides a solid education, taught and mentored by talented Film/TV industry professionals from Hollywood, such as: John Badham (Saturday Night Fever), Johnny E. Jensen (Rosewood), Dr. Paul Seydor (Tin Cup), Alex Rose (Norma Rae), among others, my competence has been also built upon great practical experiences amid international teams and at prestigious companies such as Warner Bros. Records and The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, better known for “The Oscars”.

This preparation, together with Sopheak’s talent, network and knowledge of Cambodia, make us a great asset for your production in the Kingdom of Wonder.

BETHEL BERETH | Graphic Artist

Drawing is my passion, period. Therefore, I’ve been doing everything it takes to become an illustrator and artist. From storyboards to character design, my portfolio is broad in styles and clearly shows one of my strengths… vector work.

Concept art and character design, however, are two of my favorite things to do because they allow me the freedom to explore a subject creatively and from a storytelling perspective. It’s like feeding my imagination with ideas about the narrative and its characters’ psychology.

Last but not least, I really love manga and comics in general, and of course, Hayao Miyazaki too!
